Along the Coast, south of Scarborough, and towards, Filey, Bempton and Flamborough Head there can be found several large Puffin Colonies. These unique, facinating and beautifully coloured little birds are a delight to see and enthusiasts go to great lengths to access them from the Cliff Tops.
The ideal and perfect way to view them, their young and their nesting sites, is from the sea.
The Ex-RNLI Lifeboat, the William Cantrell Ashley, sails daily, during the Summer, weather permitting, out of Scarborough Harbour and not only visits these colonies but passes along a stretch of coast line that provides an ideal habbitat for Seals and a wide variety of other wild life.
WHY NOT JOIN THEM?
